Dzcyple LAST is a long time friend of mine & no stranger to the M.I.C.

Starting with The Boogiemen in his home country of New Zealand, Dzcyple LAST then hit our shores rippin shows with the now defuct live outfit  All Relativf &  MC Trey.

Then he became Sydney act Katalyst’s main M.C. & Hypeman for a few years doing the festival circuit & rockin sellout crowds. Now Dzcyple LAST embarks on a solo career with the forthcoming release of his debut album “Refentse Within” featuring appearances from heavy weights such as Che-Fu, Koolism, Stiff Gins and MC Trey.

So, as i mentioned before, i headed up to Brisvegas for the BC/DC Record Fair (ROUND 2 ) to chill with my bro Geoff Blunted (Look out for a Blunted Stylus/Sleeping Monk album coming soon).

Geoff is a pioneer in the local Hip Hop scene starting on the solo tip with the highly acclaimed “Hepetitus” instrumental album. His exceptional production skills were noticed & he became a member of one Australia’s most successful outfits known as the Resin Dogs.

Geoff is a hardcore vinyl collector & a good friend. It’s been years since i’ve been to Brisbane, so Geoff took me down to the infamous record fair to meet his partners in crime.

These guys up here i’ve known for a long time. The infamous DJ Sheep has been in the game for about as long as i have. Formally the Australian rep for the U.S. classic magazine “The Bomb”, DJ Sheep has steadily established himself as one of the world’s most respected crate diggers. 

Hams is one of the world’s most respected graffiti artists & all round nice guy. As one of the pioneers of the now defunct classic magazine “Hype Mgazine, Hams is still deadly with a can. Respect to the old school.

Also featured in this pic is my brother from another mother The 3rd Ocular (formely known as Loud’crous). Back in the days, The 3rd Ocular & I had a crew called “Frequency Unknown” We dropped an EP in 1998 but have been down since school. It always good to catch with old peeps. Anyways, let’s get back to the record fair.

OK, so i’m off to Brisbane this weekend to check out the Brisbane Crate Diggaz/Weird Gear Record fair.

This cool concept involves a lot of record collectors & sellers  playing & sellin their records to the public.

There’s no cover charge plus there’s food & drinks available. I’ll post up some photos next week.
