The folks at Big Village are putting on a mega party/fundraiser for the Gareth Ivory Foundation.

On the night will be an all star cast of Sydney’s finest Hip Hop acts including Dirtbox Kings, Backyard Lab, True Vibenation, Benji(PK CREW), Jeswon, MC Gabi, Mute MC, Periskope, Scott Burns, Swarmy, Herb, Dialectrix, Daily Meds, Rumpunch & DJ’s Jack Prest & Luke Presto.

Hosted By P Smurf (what up mate?) the jam kicks off at 8pm September 4th @ The Sando 387 King St Newtown Sydney. Entry is $10 & it is for a good cause plus you’ll get to see Sydney’s finest rippin up the stage.

This friday the 27/11/09 at Beach Rd Hotel Bondi Beach the bomb is officially dropped as the Legends of Local Hip Hop Def Wish Cast along with the Dirtbox Kings hit the stage for an all out assault on your senses.

Def Wish Cast have a new live show incorporating Thomas Rock on live Vocoder and live 808 drum machine and MPC. The Robotech B Boys will gettin down as well and blessing the dance floor during the DWC set.
The Dirtbox Kings will be  supporting and performing tracks off their new album & rockin some live breaks tracks (basically decks, old breaks & even older M.C.’s)

With roots in graffiti & breakdance, these pioneers have demonstrated the art of longevity & have put back into the community running workshops & youth centres. Also, these cats are some of the funniest dudes i know.

The boys are releasing a new album entitled “Bastion” which they will launching on the 20th Nov at Hermann’s Bar. I’ll see you cats there.
